OUR vision
The vision of the LGBTQIA+ San Diego County Collaborative is to create environments that promote the safety and affirmation of all students and foster a culture of respect and care that supports and meets the needs of LGBTQIA+ students.
OUR mission
In an effort to create environments worthy of all students with an intentional focus on supporting LGBTQIA+ students, the LGBTQIA+ San Diego County Collaborative:
-provides trainings and workshops that build allyship and advocacy among school staff, administration, and support teams.
-provides education, collaborative engagement, and resources to cultivate a platform for the exchange of information and best practices.
OUR SUBCOMMITTEES
NEWSLETTERS & PUBLICATIONS SUBCOMMITTEE
responsible for developing a quarterly newsletter as well as intermittent communications for information-sharing purposes with input from the LGBTQIA+ County Collaborative. Newsletter and publication distribution will be led by the "GSA Support" sub-committee.

GSA SUPPORT & CONTACT SUBCOMMITTEE
responsible for developing plans to support GSAs around the county by maintaining an accurate, comprehensive inventory of existing GSAs and advisors, including contact information, schools represented, constituency numbers. This sub-committee will also be responsible for assigning chains of contact to advisors.

TRAINING & WORKSHOPS SUBCOMMITTEE
responsible for identifying training & workshop opportunities, developing a projected workshop schedule for the year, and presenting and collecting feedback from the LGBTQIA+ County Collaborative regarding the trainings and workshops.

POLICY & ADVOCACY SUBCOMMITTEE
responsible for monitoring relevant policy at all levels (local, statewide, and federal), and leading policy- and procedure-related advocacy to support LGBTQIA+ students in the county. This sub-committee will also share best practices and model policy from exemplar districts & schools.
